JUNIOR GIRLS SECTIONJunior Girl Membership is available to girls (under the age of 18 on the 1st January) who reside in the County, who were born in the County, or who are members of Golf Clubs situated in 'Midlothian County' and affiliated to the Scottish Ladies' Golfing Association. An annual subscription is payable on 1st January (click here for application form). Please do send us information and results from competitions so that we can publish this on this web site. Princes Course in January - 11 girls play in the 9-hole competition. They all enjoyed their golf. It was their first game on the course for some of the girls.
Midlothian Girls Coaching at Braid Hills Golf and Driving Range
November 18th Girl/Adult foursomes results - 10 pairs took part. It was great to see the girls enjoy playing golf with the parents/granparents and friends. Well done everyone.

November 13 - SLGA Girls Rankings - Congratulations to Jane Turner (4th), Rebecca Watson (10th), Rachael Watton (15th) and Gillian Simpson (20th) October 21- Junior Champion of Champions at Kingsbarns. Jane Turner returned a score of 81 to win by the better inward half from Ladybank's Susan Jackson (also 81). Jane is Midlothian Girls Champion and East of Scotland Ladies Champion and said "I played well from tee to green and I really enjoyed playing this links course for the first time". October 11 - Donald Ross Memorial Competiton at Dornoch - Julie Vass was the overall winner. It is only the second time that a girl has won the overall prize. Kate McIntosh (Broomieknowe) had the best net score over Royal Dornoch Championship Course 5 below the SSS. October 7 - Young Masters Final at Gleneagles - Gillian Simpson (Murrayfield) was 6th. Gabrielle MacDonald (Prestonfield), Kate McIntosh (Broomieknowe) and Kirsty Simpson (Murrayfield) also qualified to play. SLGA Winter Training Squads 2007-2008. Congratulations to the following Midlothian Players on their selection for SLGA Squads MCLGA Girls Foursomes Winners of the Cackett Salver - In the Final Gabrielle MacDonald and Catriona Williams beat Kirsty Simpson and Gillian Simpson Gibson Cup on the Braid Hills Golf Course: Kate McIntosh and Gabrielle MacDonald qualified for the second flight of the matchplay. They were in the first 8 of 62 couples playing in the Centenary Gibson Cup. They lost in the first round of the matchplay to Jennifer Bryans and Helen Warnock. September 23rd: The MCLGA Girls' Championship was held at Lothianburn Golf Club on a dry, windy afternoon.Jane Turner won the Championship for the second time in a row and for the 3rd time overall. Hannah Scott won the handicap trophy.Thanks to Lothianburn Golf Club for allowing us to play. The course was in excellent condition. County Finals at Tulliallan golf Club, Friday August 31st to Sunday September 2nd East v South Match - Sone 4, East 3. Gabrielle MacDonald and Kate McIntosh played for the East Team. Young Masters Qualifying Competitions Girls' Home Internationals at Southerdown St Andrews Junior Ladies Competition Ratho Junior Open SLGA County Golf Girls' Open Day. July 17-20 - Congratulations to all the Midlothian Girls who played in the Sottish Girls' Championship at Peterhead this week. Particular congratulations go to Jane Turner who has been selected for the Scottish Girls' Home International Team. Well done Jane. Also to Gabrielle MacDonald, who won the Ansley Reid Salver, the consolation event, in the Scottish Girls Championship
July 19 - Congratulatons to Kate McIntosh (Broomieknowe)on winning the girls section of the regional final of the 2007 Dunfermline Building Society Junior Masters at Peebles yesterday with an excellent 38 points, playing off a 16 handicap. She won by two stableford points from Junior Masters regular Fiona Milne (Glen), whilst Peebles rising young star Ailsa Bain (Peebles) took third place by virtue of a countback from Keren Ward (Glen) and Tara McTaggart (Minto), who unfortunately just missed out on a place in the final.
